The Rat Pack, which included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr (shown performing here), drew in America's richest politicians, movie stars and mafia bosses.
Even John F Kennedy couldn't stay away. The Sands Casino was a favourite venue.
The quintessential Rat Pack movie Ocean's Eleven was filmed in Las Vegas in 1960.
